In the chaos that saw police firing tear gas, stun grenades and rubber bullets, certain municipal buildings were torched and a municipal councillor was arrested on trespassing charges. A 19-year-old from Kirkwood and his 21-year-old co-accused from Gqeberha pleaded not guilty to rape on Tuesday.
