In a statement, Sanral said with the special community outreach event, it hoped to make meaningful contributions to the Makhanda community. Cancer South Africa organised the campaign with the help of Sister Heather Ferreira and her team, Lunga Jadi, Yoshni Jattiem, Alayne Hails and Marlene Jacobs. The tournament featured boxers from Golden Gloves, Masibambane and Thembalethu clubs.
