SASSA beneficiaries who still use the old white SASSA card should get the new gold SASSA card as soon as possible, but no later than 15 December 2018. The old card will expire on 30 December 2018 and SASSA will not be able to deposit any payments for January into these cards, according to a statement from the SA Post Office. K9 Tracker dog Black with his handler Warrant Officer Konzani followed a trail 10km from the scene of a break-in to discover R15 000 worth of stolen goods hidden in the bush. Eskom is currently not loadshedding, however the system remains tight with a low possibility of loadshedding today and for the rest of week, the entity said in a statement today. “We will keep our customers informed if there are any changes to the system.” In a statement from the Media Desk, Eskom thanked customers for assisting in keeping the power system stable by reducing their energy usage yesterday when it implemented stage 1 loadshedding. “Our customers’ response enabled us to increase our emergency reserves earlier than projected and we could therefore stop loadshedding at 7pm instead of 10pm,” Eskom said.…
