The South African National Roads Agency Ltd (SANRAL) has scheduled blasting to take place on the N2 between Grahamstown and the Fish River Pass every Tuesday from the 5 September until 24 October 2017, weather permitting. The blasts will occur at various positions along the N2 between KM 81 and KM 92. Municipalities across the country are set to go greener with the introduction of a new national strategy. The Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has developed the national greening strategy, which aims to assist municipalities to develop greening plans at local level, and ensure that greening is included in the Integrated Development Plans (IDPs).
