The final fixture of the 2024 hockey season took place last Friday, with St Andrew’s College hosting Dale College. It was an eventful afternoon and a fitting end to a highly successful season. The matches were tightly contested, and the thrilling hockey was enjoyed by players and supporters alike.

The St Andrew’s College 1st XI found themselves on the back foot in the early stages of the game. After a slow start, Dale College capitalized on a defensive error and took the lead via a short corner. The match was physical and fast-paced, both teams consistently challenging their opposition. St Andrew’s slowly gained the upper hand with more possession and equalized through a short corner of their own. In a game that looked set to be a draw, a goal mouth scramble allowed Jake Taylor to fire in the last-minute winning goal and seal the victory 2-1 for St Andrew’s College.

Under 14A won 2-1

Under 16A won 4-0

Under 16B won 4-0

3rd Team won 4-1

2nd Team won 3-1
