The Eastern Province Grahamstown side will play their first rural league match of the 2009/2010 season tomorrow.

The side will be hosting Border Villages, with the match taking place at Manley Flats, starting from 10am. The EP Grahamstown side is made up of players currently taking part in the Grahamstown Cricket Board first league.

Other sides in the section are Border Villages, Border Country, Border Aloes, Border Kei, Boland West, Boland East and EP Midlands.

The top five sides of each section will attend the National Rural Week in Kimberley which is scheduled to take place from 20 to 24 February where cross pool matches are played.

EP Grahamstown finished 8th (out of 15 teams) in the national competition for the 2008/09 season.

The EP side, is made up of Andrew Bowker (Southwell – Captain), William Holm (Salem), Nico Plaatjies (Willows), Kevin Bennett (Southwell), Chris Friderichs (Southwell), Chesney Long (Manley Flats), Brent Emslie (Cuylerville), Mtunzi Antoni (Makana Sona), Owen Poultney (Manley Flats), Mellville Daniels (Willows) and Andrew Labuschagne (Manley Flats).
