Chaneez Sias The Graeme College first team hockey team played against Port Alfred High School on Wednesday 19 April, eventually triumphing 4-1. The teams participated in four 15-minute chuckers of high intensity, pace and ball skills. Graeme secured the first goal with L. The deceased estate consists of all the property s/he owns and debts s/he owes at the time of his death. Property can be movable (e.g. money, a car) or immovable. Hleze Kunju The following poems were written by the Grade 9 Khutliso Daniels pupils during the 2017 Puku Story Festival Poetry workshop in Grahamstown. Both poems, ‘Umzali’ (a parent) and ‘Ndlovu’ (elephant) are about parenting. They say, a parent is someone who is with you at all times. The 15th European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) Moot Court Competition on 9-13 April is a simulation of a World Trade Organization (WTO) panel proceeding. By Chaneez Sias While their respective 1st teams were playing in the SPAR Eastern Cape Schoolgirls Hockey Challenge, the Kingswood College and DSG 2nd hockey teams met on Saturday in a game set up as a practice run for K-Day. The opening whistle signaled the start of the game at 11am on DSG’s home field. Grade 6 St Andrew’s Prep pupil, Christopher Pretorius became the youngest member ever to be selected to join the well-known St Andrew’s College Pipe Band. Christopher began lessons on the Chanter at the beginning of Grade 5 and, with a lot of practise, progressed quickly.  His teacher, Murray Roodt was Pipe Major when he was at St Andrew’s College.
