Thando Nombewu, known as Loveseed, had her first appearance since returning to Makhanda. The night was filled with beautiful music and a wonderful atmosphere. She was joined by other readers from the Rhodes University Afrikaans department. The night began with the reading of a poem by Antjie and Mthunzikazi Mbungwana. The same poem was read in both Afrikaans and isiXhosa at the same time, which made it sound musical. She started her musical career four years ago after working corporate jobs for about 20 years. She is also the proud founder of Loveseed Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps communities that she cares about. Humanitarian work is close to her heart.
