Mudau is from Johannesburg and is currently studying a triple major in Bachelor of Arts. Mudau is majoring in Law, Politics and History. She stated that the position interests her as she is a Politics student and knows about international relations.

Mudau noted that education is essential to her, and she wishes that everyone could get a chance to have this opportunity, which is why she is determined to make the lives of international students better at this Rhodes.

Mudau was not associated with any political party at Rhodes. She was an independent candidate who worked with a team that assisted her in coming up with the bright ideas used to promote the position.

Factors like social media assisted her in spreading the word, and individuals promoting her, assisted her in occupying this position.

Similar to her manifesto, Mudau believes that she has set reasonable goals for herself and will be able to reach them by the end of 2025. With the assistance of Rhodes’ management and other teams, Mudau is convinced that they can do more and assist more international students at Rhodes.

The young woman is sure she has all the tools to tackle the challenge and advises other women to stand up for themselves and be confident.

She said, “Celebrating Women’s Month, I believe that to all the women, it is possible. Enter those spaces and voice your opinions about everything, it can be politics or other social issues, but at the end of the day your voice matters.”
