Is there any possibility that our municipality is likely to seriously do repairs to our road infrastructure soon? What is the intention of our muni to fix all roads in this municipal area? I’m referring to all roads in this area. From Waainek to the Fort Beaufort Road and Stones Hill to the Army Base.
What will ever persuade the muni to properly repair our roads? For example, take Market Street, the small area between Hill Street and Bathurst Street. The pot holes were fixed about a year ago, they have all returned with a vengence. Are there no experts in our muni to make sure that our muni rates are not wasted by incompetent workers? Surely that small job should have been done properly and have remained in good condition? There must be many more examples of incompetence by our muni in Makhanda.
One last question, does the EC Provincial Government not control the output of our muni? Who does our muni report to officially? I’m not referring to the local ratepayers.
