In Ward 3, both the African National Congress (ANC) and the Democratic Alliance (DA) suffered moderate drops in support. The new local party, the Makana Citizens Front (MCF), captured 12.09% of the vote.
Voter turnout in Ward 3 was 39.56%, compared with 51.27% in 2016.
