Action-packed family fun is expected in the first annual Amazing Events PA which will be held in Port Alfred between 14 and 17 April. The event comprises various sports and activities taking place over the three days over land, sea, beach and even the river.

The event will be hosted by Umcinga Enterprises, and is focused not only on family fun, but also the upliftment, education and skills training of the residents of Port Alfred and the surrounding areas. The event will include multiple professional and amateur sporting competitions for the public to spectate and take part in, as well as skills and coaching clinics from a variety of sports professionals.

Registration for each event will take place at the Halyards Hotel on the Marina on Friday 14 April from 1pm. The eventsinclude an open water swim in the Marina on Friday, bodyboarding and surfing competitions and rubber duck races on Saturday and Sunday. The weekend will also see the likes of beach rugby, volleyball and soccer taking place, and there will be a kiddies tube paddle race during the day, among other exciting and entertaining events throughout the weekend.

This will be the first of what the organisers hope will become an annual event, and it is shaping up to be a weekend for the whole family to enjoy.
