Springbok Captain Adriaan Strauss has revealed how the Springboks have been preparing to prevent a repeat of their 29-15 loss to Ireland in 2014 when the teams go head-to-head on Saturday at Newlands.

Speaking at a press conference at the Springboks' team hotel on Monday, he said: "[Ireland] used broken play kicking, but also from set pieces, they did their homework pretty well. They prepared quite well for that [2014] game. We have ben working hard at that – especially last week, [when]we had a couple of kicking sessions and defensive sessions."

"It's always a challenge against them… but we have been preparing for that."

Saturday's test will be Grahamstown-born Allister Coetzee's first as Springbok coach and Grocott's Mail will be covering the build-up; the game itself; and the aftermath.
