The annual RMR Makana Green Fun Run was held on Sunday (1 May) as members of the Grahamstown community gathered on Rhodes University’s Drotsdy Lawns to start the course (it ended in the same spot).

The annual RMR Makana Green Fun Run was held on Sunday (1 May) as members of the Grahamstown community gathered on Rhodes University’s Drotsdy Lawns to start the course (it ended in the same spot).

The event consisted of a 6.4km run as well as a 2.3km walk – and it was all to promote environmental sustainability within our community. Students, school children and Grahamstown residents were all smiles as they took part and various stands were set up to help raise awareness about the environment.

The overall winner was Masixole Xayiya and the first woman home wasTerri-Lynn Penney.
