    Two Grahamstown Run/Walk For Life Athletics Club members were recognised at the Eastern Province Athletics annual awards, which took place at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth over the weekend.

    Two Grahamstown Run/Walk For Life Athletics Club members were recognised at the Eastern Province Athletics annual awards, which took place at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth over the weekend.

    Jene Banfield (left in the picture) received the Road Running Veteran Female Athlete of the Year and Cross-Country Veteran Female Athlete of the Year awards, while Terri-Lynn Penney won the Road Running Sub-Vet Athlete of the Year.

    Both athletes represented EP at the South African half-marathon championships during 2015 as well as both being selected for the EP cross country side. Banfield was also selected for the EP marathon side.
