Spokesperson Captain Mali Govender said in Tantyi, pamphlets were handed out and members of the community were informed about theimportance of rejecting and reporting stolen goods.

“Women and children were also addressed on safety issues,” Govender said.

In the CBD, groups of people, both young and old, gathered and danced to the music as the crowd got tips on safety on the streets and in their homes.

“The group was also given a talk on contacting the SAPS  if they are aware of criminals and criminality within their communities,” Govender said.
