The Boks scored an impressive 10 tries, and veteran winger Bryan Habana scored a hat-trick to go level with Jonah Lomu as the overall-leading try-scorer in World Cup history. Both players have scored 15 tries.
The Boks ensured they topped Pool B and will face Wales, the runners-up in Pool A, in their quarter-final clash this Saturday. The only other quarter-final spot that was still up for grabs this past weekend was in Pool B, with Scotland and Japan potentially going through. Despite the Japanese claiming an incredible 3rd win of the tournament with a 28-18 win over the USA, Scotland still managed to sneak into the quarter-finals after they defeated Samoa 36-33.
In other results, New Zealand continues to impress as they crushed Tonga with a 47-9 win. Australia secured top-spot in Pool A after defeating Wales 15-6. England bowed out of the tournament with a massive 60-3 win over Uruguay. Argentina gained a confidence-boosting 64-19 victory over Namibia. Italy bowed out with a victory, defeating Romania 32-22 and Ireland produced an immense performance against France by claiming a 24-9 win.
