The Amathole District Municipality (ADM) has passed on a warning from the South African Weather Service of flooding in coastal areas between Port Alfred and the Kei River today.

"The expected flooding arises from heavy rains anticipated between Port Alfred and Port Edward," their media release says.
The municipality warns members of the public living in those areas, as well as road users, to be cautious.
Makana Municipality's disaster unit manager Khuselo Qupe said while rain is expected inland, no flooding is predicted in Makana.
"However, if anything changes we will inform Makana residents," Qupe told Grocott's Mail this morning.
