    Shone’s team shines for Kingswood at Hirsch Shield

    Kingswood College athletics team took third place in the prestigious Hirsch Shield event. The 98th annual Hirsch Shield event took place on Thursday 24 September, and was hosted by eventual winners, Queens College.

    Kingswood College athletics team took third place in the prestigious Hirsch Shield event. The 98th annual Hirsch Shield event took place on Thursday 24 September, and was hosted by eventual winners, Queens College.

    Grey High School took second spot. St Andrew’s finished fourth. In conjunction with the Hirsch Shield (U19) meeting is the SF Edwards Shield (U16) and Sammy Gunn Shield (U14).

    St Andrew’s College finished 5th in both the U16 and U14 categories, while Kingwood finished eighth in the U16 event and fourth in the U14 event.

    Kingswood's U14 team won the Leon Jacobs Cup for Middle distance events (800m and 1500m).
