In assembly this week, the St Andrew’s Senior Prep boys learned about resilience and perseverance. Last week the boys came to school in their Bokke attire, ready to see the Springboks win.

In the face of South Africa’s surprising loss to Japan, the Preppies are even more determined to back the Bokke.

“Resilience means you don’t give up when you’ve been knocked down,” so said Jordan van der Meulen.

Supporting their team are, left to right, back, Max Gifford, Marc Paul (deputy head and Grade 6 teacher), James Stadler, Nathan Myburgh, Lethu Ntshangase, Richard Dorrington, Jake Boateng-Aidoo, Mayowa Ogun, Lukhanyo July, Jake Tatham, Yash Gopal; centre, Oisin van Niekerk, Daniel Bradfield, Murray Bowker, Giniello Jansen; front, Thomas Vermaak, Luke Danckwerts.
