Four teenagers were arrested on Saturday after a man was robbed at gunpoint in his shop in Extension 9 on Friday night.

Police spokesperson Captain Mali Govender said the teenagers are between the ages of 14 and 16 years.

"They were arrested after a combined effort by the Joza Crime Prevention, Grahamstown K9 Unit and the Joza community.

The team was led by the Station Commander Colonel Syed Cassim.

"The team worked throughout the night to trace the perpetrators responsible for this incident.

"An undisclosed amount of cash was taken, as well as groceries," said Govender.

She said a shot was fired during the robbery but no one was injured.

The suspects face a charge of armed robbery according to Govender.
