14 July, 2015 –  The South African National Roads Agency (SOC) Limited (SANRAL) hereby gives notice that Section 13 of the National Route N2 (Grahamstown to Fish River), 15km outside Grahamstown (towards Peddie), will be closed between 15:45 to 16:15 (30 minutes) this Friday (17 July).

The temporary closure is due to rock blasting to accommodate upgrading of the national road network.

The blast will be set off at 16:00, and the road will be temporarily closed between 77km and 78.6km.

This may possibly extend waiting times at stop and go’s.

The upgrade of 16.7km of National Route N2 Section 13 between Grahamstown and the Fish River includes geometric improvements, realignment, widening of existing cuttings and fill embankments.

SANRAL apologises in advance for any inconvenience that may be caused by this temporary closure for upgrades.
