They played with determination and tenacity but failed in the dying moments of the game to take their opportunity.

The match was a tense affair, with both teams contesting the lead right up to the final whistle.

As always, the Queen's College Victoria Recreation Ground provided an absorbing atmosphere for the top three games of the day.

Both Kingswood and Queen's College showed that they were not afraid to run with the ball.

This resulted in a fast-paced match, which moved from one half to the other in an endless battle for territory and possession.

After some solid work upfront, Kingswood secured a quality ball from a line-out on the Queen's 22m line.

The back line took advantage of this front-foot ball and were able to move it out wide quickly.

Queen's were quick to fire back and some good hands and a missed tackle put them on the scoreboard.

It was a one-point game as Kingswood trailed 35-36.

Queen's finished with a converted try to win 43-35.
