A swirling westerly greeted 33 St Andrew’s College boys as they rode up the Cradock Road at the start of the 29.5km 2014 Mountain Bike Challenge.
Sean Gooden of Upper House took two minutes off his previous best, winning the event in a time of 1 hour 12 minutes and 26 seconds. Six minutes later, David Biggs, Christian Laws and Bradley Jackson were the next to arrive in quick succession. Upper House retained the Mountain Bike Challenge Cup ahead of Mullins and Armstrong.
