Athulile Chakwebe scored first from a penalty, while Menzi Qakamfane scored the second goal.

With the win, City Pirates are now placed fifth on the log with 23 points after 15 matches.

Top placed Grahamstown-based side, Makana Rhini United are in third with 27 points after 17 matches played. The third Grahamstown-based side in the Cacadu league, New Town City are in tenth spot with nine points after 16 matches.
