The Kowie Catchment Campaign is appealing for the active involvement of those interested in linking Grahamstown’s green spaces into safe recreational and “green lung” areas.
Those who volunteer will be involved in activities such as mini-SASS testing and removing alien invader plant species from the Commonage. They will also learn about how groups across Grahamstown are working together to improve water and sanitation awareness.
Residents who are concerned about sewage leaks, and the water quality in our springs and rivers can attend the next meeting of the Kowie Catchment Campaign on Thursday 6 March at 4pm (until no later than 6pm) at the Environmental Learning Research Centre (off Lucas Avenue, behind Eden Grove).
