Neap tides and cold water greeted swimmers for the annual St Andrew’s College, DSG and St Andrew’s Preparatory School's Bushman’s River Mile Challenge.

The river mile took place on Sunday 9 February. Included in the day's swimming event were the mile and half mile for the various age groups.

The first St Andrew's pupil home in the senior mile was Max Kieser from Armstrong House in a time of 18:45:93.

He was followed by Matt Stainforth and Liam Sofianos both from Graham House.

The St Andrew's junior mile was won by Jack Emary from Espin in a time of 9:16:36 seconds.

He was followed by Oscar Liss from Armstrong and Jordan Stulich from Mullins.
