The annual Rapportryers Grahamstown/Hoërskool PJ Olivier 5km Fun Run with over 500 participants took place from the school last week.

Event organiser, Joubert Retief said a record number of people from all walks of life took part in this year's run. The newly elected body of prefects of the home school continued with a relatively new tradition of walking together.

The beneficiary of this year’s fun run is the Hayton Place. Overall winner was Basie Boneparte, finishing in 20 minutes 30 seconds.

First woman home was the newly crowned Rhodes University Sportswoman of the Year and current 20 to 24 world triathlon champion Natalie Ross. She finished in an incredible 8th position overall in a time of 22 minutes 58 seconds.
