Talking to Grocott's Mail on Wednesday, she said that she would be handing over 200 desks to Nombulelo Secondary School that afternoon.
The desks are made from wood harvested from the cutting down of alien invasive trees in the national Working For Water project. "We are creating a lot of jobs through the alien invasive species," she said, referring to the processes of cutting down the trees and making the furniture.
The deputy minister said her visit coincides with the 18th birthday Working For Water as well as Weed Buster Week.
