Port Alfred police are looking for four suspects following an armed robbery at a truck stop this week. The incident happened at the seaside town's Albany Road on Tuesday 27 August.

Police spokesman Lieutenant Luvuyo Mjekula said the four suspects held up the Ropax Truck Stop manager and two petrol attendants at gunpoint before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money and CCTV equipment.

"After tying them up, they fled in a car," he said. After managing to free himself, the manager contacted the local security company.

Mjekula said the police and security guards later recovered the abandoned vehicle in the township. Police are investigating a case of business robbery.
