The spinathon participants cycled enough to raise R4 981, which will be donated to Grahamstown Hospice. Team BioBru finished in first place in the spinathon with a total of 162km cycled in the four hours. They donated R324 for their efforts. Jess Blumberg's team finished second with 157km and the Graeme College boys took third with 148km. Donald said next year they would consider having the spinathon and the shavathon on different days.
