Salem Cricket Club is still top of the log in the Grahamstown Cricket Board (GCB) 2011/2012 season, after Saturday's matches. The first league teams were out of action over the past weekend, due to many players being involved in the Rural side match against EP Midlands.

Salem Cricket Club is still top of the log in the Grahamstown Cricket Board (GCB) 2011/2012 season, after Saturday's matches. The first league teams were out of action over the past weekend, due to many players being involved in the Rural side match against EP Midlands.

Most of the second league sides, however, were in action over the weekend. Salem remained at the top of the second league log with 35 points after 8 matches. They are far ahead of second-placed Manley Flats, who jumped from the fourth spot, with 22 points. Manley Flats overtook the Rhodes Shrews and Albany. Albany is now in third with 21 points.

The first round of the GCB league has now come to an end after Saturday's matches, with the second league resuming on 21 January and the first league on 28 January.
