A host of administrative and organisational problems have dogged the early games of the Makana Local Football Association soccer league.
As a result, the second-round matches were not played and last week the teams went straight into the matches scheduled for the third round.
This year's league has 30 teams because the development and first divisions have been merged to make one league.
League co-ordinator, Thandazile Madinda, said, "Some teams are failing to pitch up at the games. They automatically forfeit the points to the team have been stopped, as a decision on their participation is still pending. The league is worried that school holidays and exams are going to hamper the two teams' [participation]."

Madinda also told Grocott's Mail that the teams also didn't have their ducks in a row when it came to administrative matters.
"The teams are not ready to play, as their new off-season acquisitions have not been registered and have no clearance cards allocated to them. But we have allowed them to play, as long as they produce proper documentation from their previous clubs, showing they have moved."
Last year's winner, Cameroon, started the defence of their title of to a winning start against Young Stars at JD Dlepu stadium. They won the match 2-0. Last week's match was postponed because members of the team had to attend a funeral.
