The Grahamstown High Schools Soccer League have clamped down on the troublesome school which has caused the majority of the league games to be postponed.

He said, “As the league we have decided to excuse Nyaluza from further participation in the league because they have been failing to honour their games against other schools.”
According to Gagayi, league members are offended by Nyaluza not coming forward and explaining why they didn’t attend the matches they were scheduled to play.
“Nyaluza did not go to play two successive matches, and they did not notify us as the league as to why they didn’t pitch, so we gave them an opportunity to explain, but again they snubbed us,” said Gagayi.
When Grocott’s Mail asked Gagayi what is going to happen to the teams that still had to play the now suspended Nyaluza, Gagayi said that they decided that all the teams that still had to play against Nyaluza will be given three points by default.
“It’s a very sad decision we took as a league, but we had to do it because we need to set an example to other teams that we have a zero tolerance to schools that are not cooperating with us,” he said.
According to Gagayi Nyaluza would have to put forth a motivation before they are included next year. The league has been very disappointing with most games postponed or teams given points because the other team didn’t pitch.
The last two games didn’t take place because one team arrived late, and the other involved the now suspended school. The next match takes place this afternoon between Samuel Ntsika and Benjamin Mahlasela at the JD Dlepu at 3pm.
