Eastern Province High Schools Rugby Union this week announced the various youth week sides. They are, Chulu Mngxaso, Callum Dugmore, Ikhetheleng Nkhereanye, Jason Brown, Zadok Makani, Oscar Evans, Murray Koster, Jack Allanson and Byron Sharwood. Graeme College pupils, Mhlangabezi Ntwanambi, Sivuyisiwe Ngqiyaza and Wonga Wakashe are also part of the side, together with Athi Galada from Kingswood.

A total of ten Grahamstown school players are part of the EPCD U18 Academy side. Cole Kirkwood and Luciano Didloff from Mary Waters High School are part of the side that will be captained by Anele Mokongolo of Kingswood. Also part of the team from Kingswood are Lloyd Dangazela, Sandiso Charles and Leshano Le Roux. St Andrew’s pupils making the side are Christian Roebert and Graham de Vos, who is the vice captain. Cameron Amos and Matthew Robertson of Graeme College are also part of the side, which sees the St Andrew’s College director of rugby, Andy Royle as the assistant coach.

Four Grahamstown pupils have been selected as part of the EP U16 Grant Khomo Week. They are Basi Malesu, Bame Malesu, Buhle Matshaya (St Andrew’s College) and Michael Shone (Kingswood College).

The SA Rugby Youth Weeks take place across the country between 3 and 22 July, with the Learners with Special Education Needs (LSEN) Week kicking off the three-week rugby festival, while the U18 Coca-Cola Craven Week and Coca-Cola Academy Week will wrap it up.

The U18 Coca-Cola Craven Week and Coca-Cola Academy Week will be hosted at St Stithians College in Johannesburg from 17 to 22 July; the U16 Coca-Cola Grant Khomo Week and U13 Coca-Cola Craven Week at Grey College in Bloemfontein from 10 to 14 July; and the LSEN Week at Glenwood High School in Durban from 3 to 7 July.
