THE police has released a photograph of a key suspect linked to the gang who shot and killed businessman
Juan Jansen (33) in Kenton-on-Sea in November last year.
The photograph was released for the public to help identify the man who is believed to be living in the Eastern Cape.
Captain Stephen Marais of the East London SAPS said, “It is important that members of the public do not take it into their own hands to apprehend the man if they come into contact with him as he is highly dangerous.”
Jansen was shot in the chest by a gang while on his way to the bank. One suspect has been arrested and police are searching for two more.
“Bail has been denied to the suspect in detention due to the circumstances of the nature of the crime for which he was detained,” Marais said.
Jansen’s family has released statement saying that there is an award for information which leads to the arrest of the suspects.
The amount of money on offer was not revealed. Marais insists that people who identify the suspect should call 10111, emergency services or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
