The St Stithians rugby festival in Johannesburg 2016 saw Clifton Durban take on Graeme Collage from Grahamstown on the rugby field on day two.
In the end Graeme secured the win with a narrow two points making the final score 10-8 to Graeme in what was a tightly contested match.
This was Graeme’s sixth visit to the Saints Festival where they last appeared at the festival in 2012.
The first half of the game left the score board with a score even on 3-3 leaving everything to play for in the second half.
In the first half, Graeme received a penalty in the first 3 minutes of the match which Graeme flyhalf Sivu Ngqiyaza converted to give Graeme the edge over Clifton.
Clifton quickly caught up with a converted penalty which saw them draw level as the teams went into the break.
In the early stages of the second half, Clifton took the lead as they scored the first try which was not converted leaving the score 8-3 in favour of the Durban side.
In the last few minutes of the match Graeme player Bukhosi Mhlambiso managed to score a try which was then converted by Ngqiyaza.
The conversion was the difference between the two teams as Graeme ran out 10-8 winners in what was a nail biting game until the end.
