The first of our Election Connection 2016 debates will take place at BB Zondani Hall on Wednesday 6 April at 5.30pm.
A panel consisting of prospective candidates from each of the five main political parties in Makana will be there to answer your questions in person. We want to help you get the answers you need and to have your say in the process.
Election Connection 2016 is a partnership between Grocott's Mail and Radio Grahamstown, in association with RMR, and takes the form of a series of opportunities for you, the voters, to come face to face with the people who want to run our City – and who want your votes – so that you can make the most informed decision possible.
We're starting with four "town hall" debates at venues all around Grahamstown, where you can come and join our audience and ask the panel of would-be councillors all the questions you want to – whether it's about roads, toilets, rubbish, power, corruption or anything else that you're concerned about.
In May, there'll also be a live broadcast from Rhodes Campus – which is now a ward in its own right.
We're then running a series of live radio phone-ins on Radio Grahamstown – again featuring those who are looking for your votes as well as all kinds of opinion, analysis, debate and information.
We'll make sure that we let you know exactly when and where all these things are happening well ahead of time – so look out for the information online, in Grocott's and on Radio Grahamstown 102.1FM.
And come along to BB Zondani Hall on Wednesday 6 April at 5.30pm for our first Election Connection 2016 debate – and make your voice heard.
