The South African National Roads Agency Ltd (Sanral) has warned road users of blasting scheduled to take place at the Shaw Park quarry on Thursday 31 March 2016, from 3.30pm onwards.

The South African National Roads Agency Ltd (Sanral) has warned road users of blasting scheduled to take place at the Shaw Park quarry on Thursday 31 March 2016, from 3.30pm onwards.

"The road will be closed and motorists can expect a delay of approximately 15 to 30 minutes," the Agency said in a media release.

The Shaw Park quarry is situated next to the R72, near the intersection of the R72 with the gravel road leading to Shaw Park. The quarry extends from the Sanral kilometre markers 20 800 to 21 200.

“Sanral urges motorists to travel with caution, plan their trips in advance or take alternative routes,” said Mbulelo Peterson, Regional Manager of Sanral’s Southern Region.

"Sanral apologises for any inconvenience caused."
