The tournament was held at the Salem Cricket Club last Saturday for the 30th year in a row. This was the 15th tournament as it is held every two years. The Emslies won the tournament by one run against the Longs.

With the eight teams participating in this year’s tournament, they were divided into two pools where each team played three round-robin matches.
The Longs won in their pool and went to the final while the Emslies tied with the Hobsons but won on a run-rate and went to the final.
The target was 69 for the Longs in the final but the Emslies took the victory leaving the Longs in second place.
The Hobsons came third followed by the Kings on fourth place and then the Brothertons, Biggs, Wilmots with the last place occupied by the Amms.
Philip Amm won the bowling award for his 10.3 average and the Ian Long trophy for best bowler of the day. Brett Long who was not out for four innings, won the batting award [104 runs] while Daniel Long won the fielding award.
Other events of the day were organised by Cuan Kings, Spencer Hill, Sandy Amm and Charmaine Kings.
