    Primary school literacy: Where do we stand?
    According to a PIRLS study, 81% of Grade 4 learners in South Africa can’t read for meaning. This presentation shares insights into developing children’s literacy levels. We draw on the local Whistle Stop School as an example of how an intervention can be utilised to develop children’s reading for meaning. All are welcome.
