In Ward 6, the ANC won the ward with almost the same result as in 2016, when it faced a strong challenge from an Independent candidate. The Makana Citizens Front (MCF) grabbed 18% of the vote this year, while the EFF held steady at 7.21%.
Voter turnout was 48.22% compared with 59.17% in 2016.
