Grahamstown’s local boxing hero, Mzoxolo “Black Tiger” Ndwayana, exchanged leather with Ntuthuko Memela of Kwazulu-Natal on Friday 6 April as part of the bill organised by Xaba Promotions at the Orient Theatre in East London. Ndwayana knocked out his opponent in the fourth round of their eight-round Welterweight contest.

“I am happy that I have won but I must admit that he was not a push over as he came to me very hard at the beginning of the fight. I used my new tactics that I have learnt to knock him down,” said Ndwayana.

“I would have to wait for my promoter and see which direction he will point me to but I am ready for whatever comes my way”.
