The 2017 Tourism educators in conjunction with the learners have embarked on a tour that would make a lifetime mind shift.

The Cape Town / Oudtshoorn Tour has been blessed from the word go. The staff, principal, parents and learners were passionate about getting this done.

Parents like Marcelle Burgess, Sergio Rademeyer, Marilyn Witbooi, Jamela Oerson and Felicia Rademeyer formed a committee that was dedicated to making this tour a success. They fundraised and sacrificed their time to sell burgers at school and at other events.

Many local entrepreneurs were willing to assist these underprivileged children. Mr. Tokwe and Mr Macota from Port Alfred (Transport Providers) each sponsored generously. Many other local businesses like Hi Tec Security (Andrew Buttess), PG Glass Grahamstown, Siyakubonga Funeral Homes, Matebese Funerals (Xolani Matebese), KS Auto (Kurt Solomon), Foba Trading (Allen Williams), Ngeleza Uniforms in Joza, Legends Cash Store (Ian Doyle), Pick ʼn Pay (Grahamstown), Extreme Embroidery, Yabo Tours and The Festival office all had a hand in making this tour memorable. Mr Lorenzo Doyle (SNP Suppliers) along with Tip Top Butchery provided food from breakfast to braai meat.

Due to these generous sponsors our learners were safe and had enough food, drinks and so much more than what they had bargained for.

The community of Grahamstown really proved how much they care for the empowerment and development of our youth.

A heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this possible. We are proud to acknowledge that we have climbed the ladder to success – Per Scalum Scientae.
