The Fort Beaufort police station be officially re-opened by the Honourable Deputy Minister of Police Bongani Mkongi (MP) on Tuesday 18 July. The Station, which was shut down by the Department of Labour after it was found to be unsafe for occupancy as a result of structural defects, has been renovated.

The Deputy Minister will start the day by joining a crime-fighting operation at King William’s Town Cluster. He will be joined by Eastern Cape Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General, Liziwe Ntshinga, SAPS senior management members and King William’s Town Cluster Commander, Brigadier Luntu Ngubelanga.
