A case of armed robbery is being investigated by the Grahamstown SAPS, following an incident at a cash loan business today, Tuesday 31 January. 

Five men entered and robbed a cash loan firm in the CBD, said police spokesperson Captain Mali Govender. They tied up the victims and locked them inside and made off with an undisclosed sum of cash. 

Emergency services within neighbouring clusters were alerted, and within two hours a vehicle was pulled over by members of the K9 unit in Port  Elizabeth.

A man was arrested and a vehicle similar to the one used by the robbers was seized.
