The case of three Grahamstown teenagers arrested in connection with a Joza murder case has been postponed to Wednesday 11 January.
The teenagers, one 16-year-old and two 18-year-old males, appeared in the Grahamstown magistrate’s court on Wednesday 28 December and will appear for a bail application next week.
They were arrested after a body of a teenage girl was found in a dumping area near TEM Mrwetyana School in Joza in early December.
Police reports at the time said preliminary investigations suggested that the victim had sustained serious head injuries and several stab wounds on her upper body.
The teenagers allegedly killed the girl and at night time went on to dump the body at the rubbish site.
A woman who went to dump rubbish in the morning discovered the body and reported it to the police.
