The Rhodes University Archery outdoor competition was held on the Rhodes Great Field over the past weekend.

Saturday’s competition was a 1440 and Sunday's competition was 720. For the 1440 event, that is the amount of arrows shot during the competition, and then only 720 shot on Sunday.

During the 1440 archers shoot four different distances starting with their furthest for their division. The furthest that will be shot by anyone is 90m for the Compound and Recurve Men’s divisions.

And then ending on their closest, which is 30m for everyone (except the children’s divisions which is usually around 20m depending on age and division).
