Stormers utility back Scott van Breda revealed that he is considering an overseas move, but insisted he might yet stay at Newlands.

Having fought his way into the Stormers’ Super Rugby team after a string of impressive Currie Cup performances for Western Province since signing from the Southern Kings at the start of the year, he is enjoying life at Newlands.

“In the end, [joining the Stormers]paid off for me, because I ended up here – which is much more enjoyable,” he stated.

“Just to experience this culture and train under these coaches has also been awesome.”

However, the lifelong Stormers fan has not yet signed a new contract and is yet to decide his future.

“At the moment, it’s just about finding the right thing that suits where I am in my career now and just going from there,” said the 24-year-old, who has not yet received any overseas offers.

“Hopefully in the next week or two, I’ll have made up my mind and I’ll know where the next year or two lies.”
