Grahamstown-born Springbok coach Allister Coetzee today welcomed overseas-based trio Francois Louw; Steven Kitshoff; and Duane Vermeulen into his Springbok squad on Sunday.
Speaking at the Springboks' team hotel in Cape Town, Coetzee said: "You can see that they want to be with the boks and they want to play with the Boks. Tonight's team meeting would be really to welcome them back into the mix and take it from there."
With his first full 31-man squad now all together and preparing for the test, Coetzee issued a rallying cry to his team ahead of Saturday's clash with Ireland at Newlands, stating: "We want to go out there, really have a go when it's on and play an exciting brand of rugby, but also make sure that our set pieces are functioning well – because that's where we will be tested against the Irish."
Louw echoed Coetzee's sentiments, warning that: "Regardless of what squad they bring over and the injuries they've had in the past couple of weeks, I think they'll definitely pose a big threat. We're going to have to step up our game.
